Bureau Veritas suffers cyber attack

The classification society Bureau Veritas suffered a cyber-attack on November 20 that forced it to temporarily shut down its servers and data systems.  This is a preventive action it has had to take to protect its customers while investigations are carried out and appropriate measures are taken. Ransomware gang hacks Ecuador’s largest private bank, Ministry of Finance

A hacker group called “Hotarus Corp” has breached Ecuador’s Ministry of Finance and the country’s largest bank, Banco Pichincha, where they claim to have stolen internal data.  The ransomware gang first targeted Ecuador’s Ministry of Finance, Ecuador’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, where it deployed a PHP-based ransomware strain to encrypt a site hosting an online course.    Immediately after the attack, threat actors posted a text file containing 6,632 login names and password combinations on a hacker forum.    Solution   MSI offers:  AI-Artificial Intelligence: AI is a constantly evolving technology, and its algorithms enable machine learning, known as machine learning, which helps the system learn patterns, and adapt to simplify response to incident risks.
